Before I was a freelance copywriter

Before becoming a freelance writer in 2006 I worked in technical sales and marketing in the building products, construction materials and decorative garden products sectors. Next, I moved into business development and PR for a packaging company, technical writing (but not as a freelance technical writer) and copywriting for a leading technical publications business. Finally, my last job as an employed writer with freelance aspirations, I got into copywriting and account management for a technical PR consultancy. I've even written that notoriously hard-to-get-published first novel that everyone's supposed to have in them...
