Client newsletter copywriting for the Met
A tight deadline, 56,000 words and newsletter stories reflecting life in the UK's largest metropolitan area. That was the challenge I faced when I was asked to do the copywriting for the inaugural issue of the Metropolitan Police Service's Safer Neighbourhoods four-page A5 newsletter for Tongue Tied limited and their client, Euro RSCG Riley.
Community policing is a vital part of the Met's work in more than 600 wards, each of which has a Safer Neighbourhoods team. These are highly accessible and visible teams working closely with the capital's local communities to identify the issues that most affect people's feelings of well-being and safety, and work with the community to take corrective action. What better way to promote this co-operation than with well-written newsletter articles delivered to millions of households.
What worked for the Metropolitan Police can work for you too
