Demand for skilled copywriting doesn't just come from clients who recognise that they don't have specialised writing skills. I often find myself working for marketers who could write their own copy, but simply don't have the time to do so.
I know from experience how difficult it can be to ring-fence writing time when you are dealing with a host of other marketing challenges from all quarters. Even if you hide away at work or work from home, there's the ongoing worry about all the emails and phone calls piling up. Established web design and development agency Pepperneck is based in Malvern, Worcestershire. They regularly write customer case studies for their client, Invertek Drives. But, earlier in the year, due to sheer workload, a backlog developed. That's when they called me in and briefed me on several case studies...
In this case, all the source material was present in the form of supplied notes (if required, I can also do telephone or face-to-face fact-finding interviews). I took everything away and while Pepperneck got on with doing what they do best, I crafted a suite of case studies for three projects in Greece.
Here's what I came up with. In just a few days, the backlog of scheduled case studies was broken and the case studies were online and working hard for Invertek.
