A series of copywriting assignments for Woodchester, Stroud-based Alltimes Coatings began with an urgent enquiry to rewrite existing copy to improve reader engagement and visitor conversions – while incorporating researched page keyword sets.
This initial work was on two asbestos-roof repair websites (with SEO support from Graham Baylis of Serendipity Online Marketing who undertook page keyword research for the updated pages).
As well as crafting engaging new copy targeted at commercial and industrial customers for asbestos-roof repair, my input freed business owner Nigel Alltimes to focus on other pressing business tasks.
I see this often, hence my commitment to write the copy that 'you don't have the time, the specialist skills or the inclination to write yourself'. Like many busy business owners, Nigel faces a multitude of demands on his time – yet urgently needed to get the copy changed. It was a perfect task for me and one that I was able to quickly accomplish after an initial fact-finding meeting at the Alltimes offices. Yet again. geography came into play: I could have done this over the phone, but being able to sit down with Nigel at his offices made the fact-finding process so much better for both of us.
Not long after writing the asbestos-roof copy, I was given another assignment. This time, my task was to do similar rewriting for several sites related to EPDM liquid rubber products for roofing and the repair of caravan and RV roofs. As well as SEO copywriting skills and the ability to write fast to a tight deadline, the work also drew on my affinity for technical subjects.
Further website copywriting followed based on this work, Most recently, I also wrote a fact-sheet for a UV-patch data sheet. In each case, the brief for the writing I did was slightly different – but the benefits for my client were the same:
