Here's how Newicon Web and Software Development, based in Bristol, have used my services to free up their time for other tasks and get vital business copywriting off their to-do list.

This project consisted of a striking new website for long-established Bristol property restoration and refurbishment specialists Stone BCI. After a briefing by Newicon, I quickly contacted their client, met for a thorough fact-finding meeting and set to work on the required website copy and project case studies. Working to Newicon's visual brief, I wrote while Newicon and Stone BCI got on with their respective business activities.
My input ranged from strapline development and rewriting case studies to crafting new website content and copy-editing existing material. The result has transformed Stone BCI's online presence in a sector where they've operated successfully since the nineteenth-century. Not only is the new site populated with well-written information to help prospective clients, but the tone of voice has a new consistency and the focus of the writing is on customer benefits and what they mean to organisations requiring refurbishment of commercial, academic, leisure and ecclesiastical property.
As you may have noticed in your organisation, it's easy to relegate copywriting to the bottom of your to-do list when you are faced with so many other pressing business tasks. And even if you can write copy, it's hard to ring-fence 'creative time' when you're surrounded by the demands of day-to-day business. That wasn't a problem for Newicon and Stone BCI once I was involved.
It's probably fair to say that another attraction of engaging me for this work was my experience in the construction, building and construction materials industry. Not just that I've already written for construction and building materials clients (which I have), but that I've worked at the sharp (and muddy!) end of the industry. That's because I started my career with more than 10 years in construction industry technical sales and marketing. I've sold into the industry, worked with trades and construction managers, and seen the day-to-day challenges first hand. That's useful when it's time to write about a subject.
