When Gloucester-based Pertemps Driver Services needed rapid copywriting support for a new driver services website, they contacted me. Within a few days we'd done the required in-depth fact-finding at their offices – the base for their JAUPT, RTITB and IAM accredited driver training activities. With my interest in road transport and logistics, and previous writing experience for the sector, I relished the challenge of this project.
After liaising with Pertemps' in-house web development team on SEO keywords and site structure, I crafted new and rewritten copy about their driver training services and related health and safety training. While I wrote, the Pertemps team were able to get on with running a very busy day-to-day operation. After incorporating a few changes (as is so often the case, the content evolved during the writing work), everything was ready for incorporation in the new website – in time for the mandatory September 2014 changes in requirements for driver CPC training.
Here's what Samantha Earl, General Manager at Pertemps Driver Training was kind enough to say on my LinkedIn profile:
'I worked with Al last year, who helped me to copywrite for the launch of the very first driver training website for Pertemps. I found Al to be very professional, taking on-board our vision/ethos for the website, and delivering an outstanding result. Look forwarding to working with you again in the future.'
Whether you operate bespoke national road transport training like Pertemps, or in a different field, imagine how my copywriting skills and experience would free up your time and get copywriting written – rather than leaving it at the bottom of your to-do list.
